Anchors, aliases and merge keys
YAML lets a block be named with &anchor, reused with *alias and merged with <<:. JSON has no such thing, so every alias is expanded into a full copy in the output.
Several documents in one file
A stream separated by --- lines (common for Kubernetes manifests) is converted into a JSON array with one element per document. Syntax errors are reported with their line and column.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser — nothing you paste is sent to a server, so payloads with customer data or credentials stay on your machine. Large inputs of several megabytes are processed once you stop typing, without freezing the page.
