What is Toolz?
Toolz is a free collection of 30 small web utilities — JSON formatter, JWT decoder, regex tester, color and unit converters, image compressor, password generator and more. Each tool is a single page that does one job and runs entirely in your browser.
Is Toolz free?
Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no account, no sign-up, no usage limit and no paid tier. The site is kept running by optional donations from people who find it useful.
Is my data uploaded to a server?
No. The text and files you paste into a tool are processed by JavaScript on your own device and are never sent to a server. That makes the tools safe for API responses, tokens, passwords and private images.
Does Toolz show ads or use analytics or cookies?
No. The site loads no advertising, no analytics and no third-party scripts, sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. Fonts and icons are served from the site's own domain.
Do the tools work offline?
Once a tool page has loaded, the work itself needs no network connection, because nothing is sent anywhere. Opening a page you have not visited yet still needs a connection.
How do share links stay private?
Tools that offer a share link pack their state into the part of the URL after the #, which browsers never send to a server. The link is built on your device and its content only reaches the people you send it to. Tools that usually handle secrets — the password generator, hash generator and JWT decoder — offer no share link at all.
Can I verify a JWT signature without uploading my secret?
Yes. The JWT decoder verifies HS256, HS384, HS512 and RS256 signatures locally with your browser's Web Crypto API, so neither the token nor the key ever leaves your device.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Every tool runs in any modern browser on desktop or mobile — there is no app, extension or plugin to install.
