Your content stays in your browser

The text and files you paste into any tool on Toolz are processed by JavaScript running on your own device. They are never uploaded to a server, and we never see them.

Share links stay client-side too

Some tools can copy a link that reopens them on the same inputs. That state is packed into the part of the URL after the #, which browsers never send to a server — so the link is built on your device and its content reaches only the people you send it to. Tools whose content is typically a secret — the password generator, the hash generator and the JWT decoder — offer no such link at all.

No ads, no analytics, no cookies

Toolz currently loads no advertising and no analytics scripts, and makes no requests to third-party services from your browser. Fonts and icons are served from our own domain. The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser's local storage.

If you support the site

The optional support page takes payments through Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and never reach us. The name and message you choose to leave are stored with the payment at Stripe and shown publicly on the supporter wall; leave them empty to appear as "Someone". Nothing from the tools is ever involved.

What our host sees

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives the standard information your browser sends when it requests a page — your IP address, the page address, the time, your browser's user agent and the referring page — and may keep it in short-lived server logs for security and operations. That request never contains what you type into a tool. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.

If this changes

We may add advertising or privacy-friendly analytics in the future to keep the tools free. Before any such script is enabled, this page will be updated to name each provider, what it collects, whether it sets cookies and how long data is kept — and, where the law requires it, you will be asked for consent first. None of it will ever see what you type into a tool.
