JSON Diff
Compare two JSON documents by structure and list every added, removed or changed value.
Part of developer tools.
Original JSON
Modified JSON
A structural comparison
Unlike a line diff, the comparison works on the parsed data: key order and whitespace do not matter. Each difference is listed with its JSONPath — + for an added value, - for a removed one and ~ for a changed one.
Arrays
Arrays are compared position by position, so inserting an item at the start reports every following index as changed.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser — nothing you paste is sent to a server, so payloads with customer data or credentials stay on your machine. Large inputs of several megabytes are processed once you stop typing, without freezing the page.
