XML Formatter
Pretty-print or minify XML and catch malformed tags, right in your browser.

Formatted XML
Formatting and minifying
Paste XML to re-indent it with two or four spaces, or minify it to a single line. Elements holding only text stay on one line, and comments, CDATA sections and the XML declaration are kept.
Validation
The formatter rejects malformed documents — mismatched or unclosed tags, unquoted attributes, a second root element — and tells you the line and column of the problem.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser — nothing you paste is sent to a server, so payloads with customer data or credentials stay on your machine. Large inputs of several megabytes are processed once you stop typing, without freezing the page.
