2 rows do not survive the round trip back to Sentence case: uploadAPdfFile comes back as Upload a pdf file, not Upload a PDF file; phoneNumber2 comes back as Phone number2, not Phone number 2. The converter keeps only the words, lowercased, so the capitals of an acronym and the place of a separator before a digit are gone once the text is converted.

Where you convert Sentence case to camelCase

Human labels turned into keys: a spreadsheet column headed Date of birth becomes a dateOfBirth property when the sheet is imported as JSON, and form labels become field names the same way. Every word counts, short ones included, and punctuation is dropped. There is no page for the way back: a key like uploadAPdfFile no longer says that PDF was an acronym, so the sentence it gives needs proofreading anyway.

How the conversion works

The converter first reads Date of birth as the words date / of / birth — splitting on spaces, underscores and hyphens, before every capital that follows a lowercase letter or a digit, and before the last capital of a run that starts a new word (HTTPResponse is HTTP / Response). Then it keeps the first word lowercase, capitalises the first letter of every following word and joins them with no separator: dateOfBirth. Since it starts from the words and not from the Sentence case spelling, text already in any other case gives the same result.
